Information marked Private remains for you. Appointing a Guardian or Custodian does not automatically give them access.
On paid plans, selected vault items can be shared now with your nominated Guardian or Custodian.
Selected items can be prepared for release following incapacity or passing through Lyff's human-reviewed Release Process.
Your Guardian might be a partner, adult child, sibling, close friend or another trusted person. They must accept their appointment and complete Lyff's identity verification before becoming active.
Your Custodian may be a solicitor, accountant, financial adviser or another professional. Lyff checks the professional or organisation before the role becomes active.
A Guardian or Custodian does not receive your whole vault simply because you nominate them. You remain in control of which items, if any, are shared or prepared for release.
The physical Care Card and key tag link to a read-only Emergency Profile containing only the information you choose to make available in an emergency.
Your private vault remains separate and is never opened by scanning the Care Card QR code.
