In an emergency, the person assisting you may not know who to contact, whether you have an important allergy or whether there is something they should understand about your care. The Lyff Care Card gives you a simple way to make selected information available when it may be needed.

How it works

Purchase first. Then choose what your card can show.

The Care Card is purchased and managed inside your Lyff account. We do not ask you to enter sensitive emergency information until after your payment has been confirmed.

Create or sign in to your Lyff account and select Care Card. At launch, each customer creates and manages their own card.

You remain in control

Choose what someone can see.

Every field is optional unless it is needed to activate your profile. Empty fields do not appear. You can update, hide or remove selected information through your Lyff account.

Your displayed name Full name, preferred name, initials or no displayed name.

Photograph An optional image to help confirm your identity.

Age or date of birth Include this only if you are comfortable displaying it.

Emergency contacts Names, relationships and telephone numbers.

Allergies and reactions Include serious allergies and relevant reactions.

Medical conditions Conditions that may affect immediate assistance.

Current medications Medication names and doses where known.

Emergency medicine What you carry and where someone may find it.

Devices and blood group Implanted devices or a confirmed blood group.

Communication and mobility Language, sensory, cognitive or accessibility needs.

Care contacts Your doctor, specialist or usual medical practice.

Responsibilities A safe, brief note about a dependant or animal relying on you.

Care documents Indicate that an advance-care document exists without displaying it.

Health cover Optional insurer name and ambulance-cover status only.

Some information belongs in your private vault.

A Care Card profile is designed to open without a password, so Lyff does not allow particularly sensitive identifiers to be published through the QR page.

Medicare numbers, healthcare identifiers, complete residential addresses, insurance membership numbers, passport or driver licence numbers and financial information cannot be displayed. These may be stored privately in your Lyff vault instead.

A separate emergency profile

Your private vault always stays private.

The QR code opens a focused, read-only emergency profile containing only the information you have deliberately selected and approved. It cannot open your Lyff account or display your private documents, messages, passwords or other vault contents.

Anyone holding the card may scan the selected emergency profile.

Your private vault is not connected to the public QR view.

You can pause or deactivate access if an item is lost.

Only information you deliberately approve is displayed.

Included with your purchase

Begin organising more with Lyff Free.

Your Care Card purchase includes 12 months of Lyff Free vault access, giving you a place to begin organising important documents and information privately.

Your Care Card is separate.

At the end of 12 months, you can choose whether to move to a paid vault plan. There is no automatic paid conversion, and your Care Card remains active if you decide not to upgrade.

Can scanning the card open my Lyff vault?

No. The QR code opens a separate emergency profile containing only the information you have approved for display. It cannot open your private vault, documents or Lyff account.

Who can view my emergency profile?

Anyone with physical access to your card or key tag may scan its QR code. Include only information you are comfortable making available for emergency assistance.

Can I hide my name?

Yes. You may display your full name, a preferred name, initials or no name. You may also choose whether to display a photograph, age, date of birth, suburb or state.

Can I update my profile?

Yes. You can update approved emergency information through your Lyff account without replacing the physical card or key tag.

What happens if I lose my card or key tag?

You can pause or deactivate the relevant QR item through your Lyff account so it no longer displays your emergency profile.

Can I purchase one for another person?

At launch, each customer purchases, creates and manages their own Care Card. Supported family, carer and gift options are being considered for future releases.

Does the Care Card replace medical-alert identification?

No. The Care Card is an emergency-information aid. It does not replace emergency services, professional medical advice, clinical records or medical-alert identification recommended by a health professional.
