Every item can have its own access instruction.

One choice does not automatically apply to anything else in your vault.
Vault sharing is deliberately simple. You choose one of three states for each selected item.
For you alone. Private items are subscriber-only and are not available to your Guardian, Custodian, Lyff support or the Release Process.

Release Later applies only to selected items designated for your active Guardian or Custodian. It can be set for incapacity, passing, or both.
Your active Guardian or Custodian submits a request with the required evidence.
Lyff reviews the evidence. Nothing has been released at this point.
After evidence is accepted, the Release Review Period begins and notifications are sent.
The end of the waiting period never releases information automatically.
Private items are never released. Share Now access is separate and does not change because a Release Later request is made.
Vault sharing at launch is tied to the trusted roles you have appointed and activated.
A partner, adult child, sibling, close friend or another trusted personal person.
They must accept the invitation and complete identity verification before becoming Active.
A solicitor, accountant, financial adviser or another trusted professional.
They must accept the invitation and complete Lyff's professional checks before becoming Active.

Your active Guardian or Custodian must submit the required evidence. Evidence is reviewed, the seven-day Release Review Period begins only after acceptance, and final human approval is still required before authorised selected items can be released.
No. Private items remain subscriber-only and sit outside Share Now, Release Later and account recovery.
Yes — through Future Messages. Future Messages is separate from vault sharing and lets you send a message or supported file to any nominated email address on a future date.
