Decide what stays Private, what your Guardian or Custodian can access now, and what selected information may be released later. Lyff also records important activity so you can see what has changed. Sharing and release features require a paid plan.
Access instructions sit at the individual item level.
One document can stay Private, another can be shared now with your Guardian or Custodian, and another can be prepared for Release Later.
Appointing a Guardian or Custodian does not give them automatic access.
Each selected vault item can have its own access instruction. Free keeps your documents private; paid plans add Guardian and Custodian appointments, Share Now and Release Later.
Private items remain subscriber-only and are not available to your Guardian, Custodian or through the Release Later process.
Only you can decrypt it.Give your active Guardian or Custodian access to one selected item immediately.
Choose View only or View & Download. Access can also have an expiry date.Choose selected items and appointed recipients separately for incapacity, passing or both.
Evidence and human review are required.Future Messages is separate from vault-item sharing.
On a paid plan, you can send a message or supported file to any nominated email address on a date you choose. This does not give the recipient vault access.
Lyff can record important account, access, sharing, recovery and release activity.
That gives you a clearer record of what changed and when. The example illustrates the purpose of an activity log; the exact events and details shown depend on the feature being used.
Being named as a Guardian or Custodian does not automatically open your vault.
Where you have designated a selected item for incapacity or passing, your Guardian or Custodian must use the applicable release process.
An active appointed Guardian or Custodian signs in to their own account and completes fresh MFA. The subscriber receives an immediate email and SMS alert. This alert does not start the seven days.
Guardians complete an identity check for each release request. Custodians skip that step because their professional relationship is checked at appointment. Supporting evidence must then be reviewed and accepted.
After evidence is accepted, Lyff sends formal notice to the subscriber by email and SMS. The seven-day review period begins when this notice is sent.
After the review period, staff review the request and a different manager approves. Nothing is released automatically. Only items assigned to that requester for the approved event can be released.
The subscriber can sign in and choose “Stop this release” at any time before release. Signing in alone does not stop a request. Private items stay excluded.

Keep visibility over important sharing-related actions.
Important recovery-related actions can be recorded.

No. Access is applied to selected items. Appointing a Guardian or Custodian does not create full-vault access.
Private means subscriber-only. It sits outside Share Now and Release Later unless you deliberately change the item's setting.
Share Now is for your active Guardian or Custodian. It is not a general share-by-email function.
Yes. You can remove access while it remains under your control. If a permitted copy has already been downloaded, that copy cannot be recalled.
Yes. Use Future Messages in the Sharing Centre. It lets you send a message or supported file to any nominated email address on a date you choose.
It can record selected important account, access, sharing, recovery and release activity. The exact events depend on the feature being used.
No. The end of the Review Period does not itself trigger release. Final review and approval are still required.
Lyff staff cannot decrypt and read your private vault files.
Complete, Complete Duo and Complete Circle include Guardian and Custodian appointments, Share Now and Release Later. Free does not include these features. Each adult controls their own vault and permissions.
View only limits the download option available through Lyff. It cannot guarantee that a recipient will not take a screenshot, photograph the screen or otherwise record information they can see. Share only with people you trust.
No. Paying for or joining the same plan does not grant access to another adult’s vault. A partner must be appointed as an active Guardian and given selected item permissions to use Share Now.
The Care Card has no scan log. Its QR code opens only the chosen public Emergency Profile fields, separately from your private vault.
Choose a paid plan to appoint trusted people, share selected documents and prepare instructions for later. Complete Duo and Complete Circle cover more adults while each person keeps their own private vault and permissions.
