Take a photo of a document on your phone or choose an existing file or photo. Photos are compressed before upload, with before and after sizes shown and an option to retake. On desktop, select a file or drag and drop one file at a time.
Scan the desktop upload QR code to continue on your phone, then sign in with your password and MFA. Files are encrypted in your browser before upload on both devices.

Yes. Add an optional expiry, renewal or review date. Reminders 60 and 14 days before are selected by default. Choose 60, 30, 14 or 7 days before, or a custom date, and repeat annually for yearly renewals. A confirmation shows the reminders set after upload. Edit them in Document details or turn all reminders off in Settings while keeping dates.
Reminders cover the five documents on the 12-month Free plan and all documents on paid plans. No reminder emails are sent during the grace period. Emails contain no file contents or sensitive details.
No. Appointing a Guardian does not automatically give them access to your vault or documents. Access depends on the permissions you apply to selected information.
Yes. Private items remain for your access only. They are excluded from Guardian and Custodian access and from Release Later.
If you have assigned particular information for release following incapacity, your Guardian or Custodian can request it through their own platform account. Verification, evidence review, a seven-day review period and final human approval are required. Only assigned items for that event can be released.
No. Lyff Check-In is a reminder only. Missing a Check-In does not trigger access, release information or contact your Guardian or Custodian.
Yes. You can change the permissions attached to your information. Removing access cannot retrieve copies someone has already downloaded.
No. Lyff helps you organise information and control access to it. It does not replace legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.
