LYFF FOR LEGAL PROFESSIONALS

Help clients keep important information organised beyond your office.

Lyff gives clients a secure place to organise copies of important legal documents and related life information, while keeping them in control of what they share with you and when.

Beyond the appointment

You prepare the document. Your client still has to live with it.

Legal work doesn't end when a document leaves your office. Clients still need to store it, find it, understand where the original is held and know who should be able to access relevant information later.

Lyff gives them a secure place to organise that information alongside the other important records around their life.

How Lyff fits into legal practice

A secure place around the work you already do.

Lyff doesn't replace legal practice, legal document management or professional advice. It gives clients somewhere to organise the information that sits around those services.

01

Client organises

Your client stores copies of important documents and related information in their own independently controlled Lyff vault.

02

Client chooses

They decide which individual items, if any, they want to share with you and when.

03

You stay connected

Where appropriate, your client can appoint you as their professional Custodian while retaining control of their information.

For your clients

Help important legal work remain useful after they leave your office.

A beautifully prepared document is only useful if your client knows it exists and can find the information around it later.

Lyff gives clients an ongoing organisation layer around their important life information.

01
Keep important copies together Clients can organise copies of legal documents alongside property, insurance, financial and other important life records.
02
Record where originals are held Where an original document needs to be retained, clients can keep track of its location alongside the digital information they organise.
03
Control individual access Different information can have different permissions rather than making the entire vault available to another person.
04
Prepare for later Clients can organise selected information and decide who should be able to receive it under the circumstances supported by Lyff.
Professional working with a client
A longer client relationship

Stay useful between the big legal moments.

Clients don't think about their legal documents every day. Their lives, however, keep changing.

Moving house, changing relationships, buying property, starting a family or simply getting older can all create reasons to revisit important information and professional advice.

Lyff can help keep organisation — and the need to review important information — visible between professional appointments.
Lyff Custodians

A professional relationship without blanket access.

A client can appoint a solicitor or another trusted professional as their Lyff Custodian.

Appointment establishes the trusted professional relationship inside Lyff. It does not automatically give the professional access to the client's vault.

The client continues to decide which individual information may be made available and when.

Clear professional boundaries

Custodian doesn't mean account control.

Lyff separates the professional relationship from ownership and control of the client's vault.

The client remains the owner and controller of their individual Lyff vault.
Appointment as Custodian does not automatically provide access to documents or the wider vault.
Access can be limited to individual information deliberately selected by the client.
Items marked Private remain outside Custodian access.
Being a Lyff Custodian does not itself appoint the professional as attorney, executor, administrator or holder of any other legal office.
Incapacity or Passing access is limited to designated information and follows Lyff's applicable verification and release process.
